Quick Start
Quick Start
Connect a computer with the local CLI bridge, then add AnyRemote from ChatGPT Apps once the public listing is available. You will not need to configure a custom MCP connector.
About three minutes. The commands below match the published @panda-ai/anyremote package; this page is revised when they change.
Runtime requirement
Use Bun or Node.js 20.9.0 or later. The remote command runs in the foreground; keep its terminal process open while using the connection.
Run this on the computer you want to connect
bunx @panda-ai/anyremote@latestIf copy is unavailable, select the command and copy it manually.
If the browser does not open, use the URL printed in the terminal.
Authorize the computer
The command opens a browser for sign-in and device approval. Each time you start the remote command, approve that device again. If the browser does not open, use the URL and code printed in the terminal.
Add AnyRemote from ChatGPT Apps
Once AnyRemote appears in the ChatGPT Apps directory, open Apps, search for AnyRemote, and select it to connect. ChatGPT will show any account authorization it needs. This setup does not require entering a server URL.
Browse ChatGPT AppsUse the app in a conversation
Start a new ChatGPT web conversation, select the app you added from the Apps or tools menu, and choose a connected computer when a tool asks for one. Available tools and actions depend on your ChatGPT account and workspace.
If something does not connect
The browser did not open: copy the URL printed in the terminal and open it yourself.
The ChatGPT app shows no tools: check that your plan and workspace allow the app, then scan the tools again.
ChatGPT cannot reach a local address: the endpoint must be a public HTTPS URL.
Revoke or disconnect
Press Ctrl+C to stop the CLI on the computer.
To revoke the computer, sign in to AnyRemote and remove it from Devices. Revoking takes effect immediately.
Disconnecting the ChatGPT app and revoking a local device are separate actions.
