Remote Service Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handled when the hosted AnyRemote MCP service relays tool requests between ChatGPT and your enrolled computer.

Last updated September 24, 2026.

1. Remote service scope

When you use AnyRemote with a supported ChatGPT app, the hosted service authenticates the connection and routes authorized MCP tool requests to the device connected by the local CLI. The request and returned result pass through AnyRemote’s hosted relay.

2. Information in remote requests

The relay handles the selected tool name and its arguments, the target device and request identifiers, request state and timing information, and the result or error returned by the device. Arguments and results can include file contents, command output, or other information requested by a tool.

The local CLI executes tools on your computer according to the available tool, operating system, and permissions. Review the request and the information it may return before authorizing or using a tool.

3. How remote information is used

We process remote request information to authenticate and route the request, deliver it to the selected device, return the result, meter service usage, and diagnose failures. The hosted service must handle request arguments and results to provide this relay function.

Cloudflare hosts service components that relay and temporarily store request records. ChatGPT and any other client you use may also process the requests and results under that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

4. Request and result retention

The current relay implementation is configured to clean up request records after 24 hours. Those records include the tool name and arguments, request state, and available result information.

Stored result data is configured to expire after one minute. These periods describe the relay’s configured record cleanup and result time-to-live; they are not a deletion promise for account, billing, provider, or client-side records.

5. Your choices and control

Choose which computer to enroll and which tools to use. You can stop the local CLI or revoke a device in AnyRemote to prevent future connections; this does not reverse a completed operation or retract information already returned to a client.

For privacy requests about information handled by AnyRemote, contact us using the details below. Your ChatGPT provider and any other client may offer separate controls for information they process.
